In December 2008 Portsmouth successfully bid for £3.1 million of funding from the Department of Health for various healthy lifestyle projects in the city.
As one of just nine local authority areas nationally to be awarded the Healthy Towns status, Healthy Pompey is leading the way in the South East in providing accessible, easy ways for people to be more active and eat well for a brighter future.
We all know that we need to make small changes to eat well, move more and live longer and various projects have been set up across the city to make it possible for everyone - especially kids, to begin to make changes for life.
